Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 September 2026

This policy explains what Skayl Digital Agency Limited ("Skayl", "we", "us") does with personal data collected through skayl.co.uk. We are the data controller. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 12712358.

You can reach us at info@skayl.co.uk or 01724 622034.

What we collect

Information you give us:

  • Application form answers: your name, business email address, mobile number, store or website address, the type of business you run, your monthly revenue range, your monthly ad spend range, and how well you know your margins.
  • Booking details when you schedule a call, including your name, email address and the time you choose.
  • Anything else you send us by email, phone or during a call.

Our application form saves your answers step by step as you move through it. If you enter your email address or phone number and then stop before the end, we will still hold what you entered up to that point, and we may contact you about it.

Information collected automatically:

  • Your approximate location, derived from your IP address.
  • Device, browser and operating system details.
  • Pages you view, how long you spend on them, and how much of a video you watch.
  • How you arrived at the site, including referring pages and advertising campaign parameters in the URL.

Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, and the Meta Pixel to measure the performance of our advertising. Both set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you using the site.

Sharing data with Meta

When you complete or partially complete our application form, we send a copy of certain details to Meta through its Conversions API so that our advertising is measured accurately.

Before sending, we convert your email address, phone number and name into a SHA-256 hash. Meta receives those hashes rather than the values themselves, together with your country and an identifier for your browser session. Meta may compare those hashes against its own records to recognise an existing account.

If you would rather we did not do this, email us and we will exclude you.

Why we are allowed to use your data

  • Legitimate interests: responding to a business enquiry you have made, assessing whether we can help you, and measuring how well our marketing works. We consider this proportionate because you approached us in a business capacity.
  • Consent: for non-essential analytics and advertising cookies, where required. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Contract: where you go on to become a client, to provide the services we have agreed.
  • Legal obligation: where we have to keep records, for example for tax.

Who else sees your data

We use the following providers, each of which processes data on our behalf:

  • Google (Workspace, Sheets and Apps Script) - stores your application answers; Google Analytics - site measurement.
  • Meta Platforms - advertising measurement, as described above.
  • Calendly - call scheduling.
  • Framer - website hosting.
  • Amazon Web Services - hosting and delivery of the videos on our site.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the UK we rely on the UK extension to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, an adequacy decision, or an equivalent safeguard.

We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

If you enquire but do not become a client, we keep your details for 24 months from our last contact with you, then delete them.

If you become a client, we keep your records for seven years after the engagement ends, so that we can meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, to object to our use of it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these, email info@skayl.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Children

This site is aimed at business owners. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data about children.

Changes

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
